Diabetes & Kombucha

Diabetes & Kombucha

In most parts of the world, kombucha mushrooms are passed from friend to friend knowing that they have no adverse effects. Considering the sugar that is used to prepare it, its consumption is questionable for those with diabetes. In fact, the fermentation process turns sugar into organic acids which are essential for our gut health also known as the lymphatic system. All this magic occurs within 9 to 11 days. Therefore, as long as kombucha is not consumed before the full fermentation period, there is no problem for people with diabetes.

Should people with diabetes be careful about buying kombucha from supermarkets?

The commercial production of such products may sometimes not have the necessary conditions due to the specific business interests... If this drink contains unfermented sugar or sweeteners it will be harmful for people with diabetes. But at KombuHeritage we cannot relate to such interests they may have. We SET and maintain the highest standards for kombucha making.

I do have many healthier alternatives, by simply adding some herbal medicines to your tea can be beneficial for people with diabetes. These plants include blueberry leaves, Polygonum, Burdock and Chicory.

Our Kombucha hosts a community of healthy bacteria’s and yeasts that work together to convert unfermented organic sugar into organic acids and so much more beneficial properties. Unpasteurised, filtered, RAW, No artificial flavours and no colourings.

Tesla’s rule of 3 is a rough estimation method used in microbiology to calculate the number of microorganisms based on dilution series… with this rule of 3, in a 330 ml serving, you might have roughly 990,000,000 organisms. However, this is a rough estimate and actual counts can vary.

That’s basically 1,000,000,000!
The most LIVING drink in existence.
